RODA is a proud founding partner of the Responsible Offshore Science Alliance (ROSA), which was formed in March 2019. ROSA is an independent organization dedicated to providing for and advancing regional research and monitoring of fisheries and offshore wind interactions in federal waters through collaboration and cooperation in order to: (a) Increase salient and credible data on fisheries and wind development; and (b) increase the understanding of the effects of wind energy development on fisheries and the ocean ecosystems on which they depend.

ROSA has received expressions of support from the National Marine Fisheries Service, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, five offshore wind energy leaseholders, and many others. RODA’s primary role in ROSA is to assist in organizational design and ensure that the commercial fishing industry has significant involvement in research prioritization, communication, and execution.

ROSA’s Executive Director is Dr. Lyndie Hice-Dunton. To contact her and learn more about ROSA’s current operations email her at info@rosascience.org
