Marine Renewables and Offshore Wind

The Offshore Renewable Wind Energy Gateway assembles geospatial information on ocean wind resources, ecological and natural resources, ocean commercial and recreational uses and community values. This information will help identify areas off of California that are potentially suitable for wind energy generation.

The Department of Land Conservation and Development, in partnership with BOEM, has developed Oregon Offshore Wind Mapping Tool (OROWindMap) within the West Coast Ocean Data Portal to provide public access to the best available data throughout the offshore wind planning process.

Tethys cultivates a collaborative research space for the exchange of technical information on the effects of marine and wind energy devices and their associated components.
